What if my child needs bus transportation?
Students have the opportunity to ride the bus to and from school. We expect students to behave in a courteous, safe manner when getting on and off the bus as well as while the bus is moving. Major violations such as fighting, harassment, threats to a bus driver or other students, etc. will result in a minimum of five days of bus suspension and placement on the school disciplinary ladder. The incidents continue through the year and do not start over at the end of the quarter or semester.

What is your attendance policy?
Students are required by law to be in regular attendance at school. Students with good attendance habits are more successful and establish a strong foundation for success in the future. According to the Clinch County Board of Education, students in grades 8-12 must be in attendance 85 days per semester. We will retain or not award credits to students that are absent six or more days per semester year. Students who miss more than 15 minutes of a class period are counted absent for that class.
