SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Because of the reduced class sizes and the fact that a teacher and a paraprofessional is assigned to each classroom, all Fargo Charter School students receive individual attention.  Additionally, an Individualized Education Plan is developed for each student to enhance identified strengths and to improve identified weaknesses.  If any special needs children (speech, hearing impaired, learning disability, mildly or moderately mentally handicapped) are identified at Fargo Charter School, they are served using the inclusion model and on a consultative basis with the Clinch County School System Special Education Department.  Should any Fargo Charter School students exhibit severe disabilities (as identified by the Clinch County School System School Psychologist), their parents are afforded the opportunity to send them to school in Homerville to receive needed services.  Should any Fargo Charter School students be identified as gifted, the Clinch County School System Explorer's Class teacher serves them one day per week in Homerville.
