Mission Statement

The mission of Fargo Charter School, in collaboration with parents, the Fargo community, and the Clinch County Board of Education, is to provide educational opportunities for and encourage students to strive for excellence.  As a result, all children will become competent citizens capable of making responsible decisions when faced with the challenges of the future.

Belief Statement

 We believe that....

  1. Learning needs should be the primary focus of all decisions impacting the work of school.

  2. Schools need to function as a learning organization and promote opportunities for all who have a stake in the success of the school to work together as a community of learners.

  3. Students learn best when they have appropriate opportunities for success.

  4. A safe and physically comfortable environment promotes student learning.

  5. Commitment to continuous improvement is imperative if our school is going to enable students to become confident, self-directed, lifelong learners.

  6. Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs.

  7. Students need to apply their learning in meaningful contexts.

  8. Students need to not only demonstrate their understanding of essential knowledge and skills but also need to be actively involved in solving problems and producing quality work.

  9. Positive relationships and mutual respect among and between students, staff, and parents enhance self-esteem.

  10. Curriculum and instructional practices should incorporate a variety of learning activities to accommodate differences in learning styles.

  11. Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning.

  12. Teachers, administrators, parents, and the community share the responsibility for advancing the school's mission.
