Instructional Methods,
Materials, and Strategies
Since curriculum drives
instruction and curriculum is ever changing, it is crucial that instruction
becomes an ongoing process, which caters to the needs of students and the
changes of our society. Achievement is directly linked to what students
have been taught; therefore, if we are to improve student learning, raise
student achievement beyond local, area, and state goals, and ensure that our
students are prepared to meet the challenges of the future, then we must
implement high quality methods and strategies for delivering curriculum.
Instruction at Fargo Charter School is delivered or improved in a variety of
ways, including:
-
Lesson plans are developed daily to
chart the teaching of
curriculum objectives and IEP goals.
-
A wide range of intelligences (kinesthetic,
intrapersonal, interpersonal, mathematical-logical, spatial, musical,
linguistic, nature, etc.) are used daily to address individual goals.
-
Media Center services are provided by the
Fargo Town Library and the Clinch County Public Library.
-
Instructional Materials are available
for enrichment and remediation activities.
-
Rubrics are used to assess student
assignments, projects, and progress.
-
Peer tutoring is used during school and
after school as needed.
-
Professional Learning activities are
provided to the instructional staff to address effective teaching practices
and strategies for meeting the instructional needs of each student.
