FARGO PLANNING COUNCIL
Statement of Purpose
The Fargo Planning Council represents all members of the
school community and serves the following purposes:
-
to promote communication among Fargo Charter
School's staff, parents, students, and community
-
to provide shared decision-making by
consensus, which will foster ownership among the members of the school
community
-
to establish priorities for continuous
school-wide improvement
-
to promote involvement in and ownership of
organizational goals
-
to monitor the implementation of Fargo
Charter School's established plan for educational achievement
Responsibilities
The Fargo Planning Council is responsible for the
following procedures:
-
writing an annual report
-
providing leadership, direction, and
feedback to staff and parents
-
making recommendations for the disbursement
of charter grant funds
-
making recommendations for the employment of
school personnel
-
making decisions on recommendations from
staff and parents
-
addressing parent concerns at each Planning
Council meeting
Restrictions
The Fargo Planning Council is restricted from considering and
acting upon the following specific issues and area:
-
issues and areas which are the primary
concern and responsibility of the Clinch County School System
-
administrative issues and areas that are
procedural duties and responsibilities of school personnel
-
day-to-day operation of the school
-
policies established by the Clinch County
Board or State Board of Education, mandated legal codes, and policies or laws
established by other outside governing educational agencies
