Statement of Purpose The counseling program at Clinch County Primary and Elementary is a part of a total school program designed to address the social, emotional, and academic needs of our students. The purpose of the counseling and guidance program is to help each student achieve his or her highest growth mentally, emotionally, and socially. Students may be referred to a school counselor by teachers, parents, or by self-referral. The counselor will work in collaboration with students, teachers, parents, and community members to provide all students with the academic, social, personal, and career skills necessary to succeed in school and beyond. All students will have the opportunity to participate in an array of counseling and guidance activities designed to enhance and encourage the personal growth of students on all levels. Through the administration of the program, students will acquire the skills necessary to communicate with others, learn effectively, and make good decisions.
School Counseling Services at Clinch County Primary/Elementary Students may participate in counseling activities through classroom guidance, individual counseling, and/or group counseling. Counseling is short-term, voluntary, and confidential.
