Computer Applications for School Personnel

Clinch County School System saw a a need among teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff for computer basics.  As part of Clinch County's School Improvement Plans, these individuals stated that they wanted to learn more about computers and software programs.  Out of this need a computer applications course was designed to meet those needs.

Participants meet one for 10  weeks and earn professional learning credits.  Below is a listing of weekly course topics and objectives being taught.

  2. Identify the clipboard and cite its uses.
  3. Edit a text document in Microsoft Word.
  4. Discover versatility of a word processor to enter and change text in a document.
  5. Create an original Microsoft Word Document.
  6. Format characters in a document in Word.
  7. Format paragraphs in Word.
  8. Use Word to modify and add graphics to the document.
  9. Participants will locate web pages, given a list of web sites related to various curriculum topics.
